DigitalCalgary is a small business, operated from a home studio. However, being a small fish allows us to provide customer services the big guys can't offer. We focus all our efforts to your particular project; We'll consult with you to provide a custom service, and make sure it's done the way you expected; We're available all week; and once your project is done, we'll still be able to help you if you have any problems or questions.
At the end of the day, it is our name and company that is riding on everything. Unlike the big guys, We don't have the cushion to afford losing a customer. We can't please everybody, but we make every effort to provide professional customer service with quality work. That is why customers call and keep coming back.
Professional, Industry Leading Technology
We've invested in high-end,
industry leading scanning and capturing technology. Here is what we mean:
For photos and document scanning, we use Microtek ScanMaker i700. The
ScanMaker offers 4800-dpi optical resolution that surpasses the current market
standard. It includes Digital ICE, ColorRescue, and PictuRescue Technology.
Those are just fancy terms for producing high quality, vivid scanned images. For
scanning slides and negatives, we use the Nikon Coolscan 5000ED Scanner.
Boasting a true optical resolution of 4000-dpi and 16 bit A/D conversion, the
Coolscan provides amazing image and quality. To capture analog video (VHS
tapes, etc) I use ASUSTek Silicon BDA Video Capture, and use Adobe Premier for editing and improving your video.

Personal service means attention. We work with you to fully understand what you want completed. Also, we'll add our own suggestions and offer our expertise
and maybe you’ll see something you haven’t thought of before. That sort of personal attention is what we bring into each project—it’s one of a kind level of
service.
Quality Assurance
We take extra caution when dealing with older photos, slides, and home videos -- we understand the sentimental value in them, that's why we handle them as if they were our own. All images are handled with
gloves as not to mark them with finger prints and we use new analog equipment as not to damage your home videos. Also, we inspect each image
individually and correct any adjustments. All work is burned on high-quality DVD/CDs and are played to ensure they are working properly.
Accessibility and Flexibility
We have no business hours. You may call us weekdays, evenings, and weekends. We have no policy manual and welcome all special orders. If you want
600ppi’s instead of 300, that’s fine. DigitalCalgary is Canadian-- your originals are not outsourced to another country for processing.
Service After Sale
We hold all projects for six months just in case you want us to go back to something. Say, for instance, you lost your DVD, just call and we can make up a
new copy for you. Also, if you have any questions regarding design, imaging, using software, that's outside of my core services, we can certainly help you
out with what we know.
